My prayer today was for God to show me areas of my life that prevent me from going to the next level. I want to know what things or behaviors in my life are stopping me from living my highest potential for the space, season, and the moment that I am in, right now.
After I had finished praying, I read: 1 Samuel 16:7 and Joshua 1:11. Both scriptures are teaching about preparations, provision, and the ultimate possession of the promise. The thought that came to me is that we already have provisions for what we are to possess! Meaning whatever God given promises, dreams, vision, or desires you possess you have the provisions to actualize it. However, we have to be consistently bold and courageous to “possess the Promise Land”!
When I was done reading, I watched Darren Hardy (one of my mentor’s) daily mentoring post. And guess what? His post today was on “I Can Predict Your Future”. In the video post, Darren was explaining how your daily habits determine our future. He stated that 95% of what we think, do, and achieve depends on our habits. Our habits and routines are subtle but powerful!
So, today what I got is that for me to go the next level – I have to be consistently bold and courageous. Additionally and just as important, I must have habits and routines that support my goals (dreams, vision, etc.). Consistency is the “king pin” – being consistent in doing the right thing, at the right time; taking the right actions and not being afraid to do so!
